Customer Service
While we always offer our customers a competitive price and defect-free product, we also focus on providing quick and flexible service. Our goal is to be easy to work with, offering the highest level of customer satisfaction. Many assemblies consist of hundreds of parts - one late part can mean a late delivery. To better manage our customer's needs, we use a fully integrated ERP software system that allows us to manage inventory, plan materials and schedule jobs. This tool enables our materials personnel to quickly adapt to changes in your requirements.
How to Get a Quote
The customer's requirements and the size and scope of the job determine the level of documentation needed. In many cases, we will not need all of the documents listed below. Pictures are worth a thousand words and a sample is worth ten times that. We prefer to receive drawings in Acrobat portable document format (.pdf) and Bills-of-material in Microsoft Excel.
PCB Assembly
Quantity and Delivery Information:
Quantity per delivery and Estimated Annual Usage (EAU).
Fabrication Drawings:
PCB dimensions and thickness, material, hole sizes and number of each size, solder mask type, weight of copper by layer, plating, finish (HASL, gold immersion, etc.) number and order of layers.
Bill-of-materials:
Manufacturers and their full part numbers, descriptions, parameters, values, quantities, and acceptable substitutions.
Assembly Drawing:
Contains notes and graphics depicting component placement, hardware and special requirements (heat sink grease, insulators, etc.).
Schematic:
Required if we are going to test your product (We love to test! This assures the delivered assemblies will meet your requirements).
Test Requirements:
Functional, in-circuit, or optical test requirements, procedures or specifications.
Gerber Files:
Any format, D-274X with embedded apertures preferred (Include aperture list if not embedded).
Programming Data:
Quantity and Manufacturer part number of programmable parts. Are the parts In-Circuit programmable? If we go to production, we will need the files and checksums.
Drill File:
NC drill file data, hole X-Y locations and sizes.
X-Y Component Locations:
Test file for use on the Pick-And-Place machine. Includes SMT part center locations and rotations. The PCB layout program can create this file.
Shipping and Packaging Requirements:
Type of bag, box, etc.
Control Panel Assembly
Quantity and Delivery Information:
Quantity per delivery and Estimated Annual Usage (EAU).
Bill-of-materials:
manufacturers and their full part numbers, descriptions, parameters, values, quantities, and acceptable substitutions.
Mechanical Drawings:
Include all fabrication drawings for custom designed enclosures, cabinets, or hardware elements.
Cable and Wiring:
Device wiring schematic for point-to-point discrete wiring and/or cables. Include wire charts and assembly drawings for all data. Be sure to specify acceptable material types and specific UL/CSA/EC/FCC requirements.
Final Assembly, Sub-Assembly Drawings:
Include all assembly information, including specific fastener types, quantities, and size.
Shipping and Packaging Requirements:
Type of bag, box, etc.
