LSI ADL Technology, a subsidiary of LSI Industries, is looking for a Design Engineer to add to our team at our Columbus, Ohio location.

LSI ADL Technology is an Electronics Manufacturing Services company based in Columbus, Ohio producing Circuit Board Assemblies, Box Build and Cable Assemblies in the Industrial OEM and Lighting markets. We services customers in the Columbus, OH region. Our production work ranges from running Surface Mount Technology Lines, Wave Solder Machines, Potting Machines and Wire Processing equipment in addition to Soldering, Manual Assembly, Conformal Coating & Testing of products. We also incorporate an Inventory Control team responsible for Receiving, Shipping & Materials management throughout the facility.

Job Summary

Develop new and improve existing products for contract manufacturing customers, support contract manufacturing efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design new electronic products and make improvements to existing electronic products
  • Evaluate products, parts, or processes for cost efficiency and reliability
  • Use instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform functions of the job
  • Apply knowledge of commonly used electronics design concepts, best practices, and procedures gained by education and experience
  • Work under immediate or general supervision
  • Participate in product design reviews
  • Promote product quality, production efficiency and cost reduction by supporting the efforts of other departments
  • Participate in field failure analysis and continuous product improvement efforts, as directed
  • Continuously improve personal knowledge base and skill set relevant to field of electronics design
  • Represent ADL Technology and LSI Industries in the most positive manner with prospective, current and former employees, clients, suppliers, and the community we serve
  • Interact professionally and effectively with a diverse group of employees and customers
  • Learn and practice standard operating procedures
  • Maintain prompt and regular attendance based on the work hours established by management
  • Handle confidential information with tact and discretion
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a four-year college or university;
    or
  • One to two years related experience and/or training; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
