LSI ADL Technology, a subsidiary of LSI Industries, is looking for a Sr. Electrical Design Engineer to add to our team at our Columbus, Ohio location.

LSI ADL Technology is an Electronics Manufacturing Services company based in Columbus, Ohio producing Circuit Board Assemblies, Box Build and Cable Assemblies in the Industrial OEM and Lighting markets. We service customers in the Columbus, OH region. Our production work ranges from running Surface Mount Technology Lines, Wave Solder Machines, Potting Machines and Wire Processing equipment in addition to Soldering, Manual Assembly, Conformal Coating & Testing of products. We also incorporate an Inventory Control team responsible for Receiving, Shipping & Materials management throughout the facility.

Summary

Project Lead Engineer that develops new and improves existing products for contract manufacturing customers; often directs the work of others and provides technical leadership; supports contract manufacturing efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design new products and make improvements to existing products
  • Evaluate products, parts, or processes for cost efficiency and reliability
  • Apply knowledge of a wide variety of familiar concepts, best practices, procedures and regulations gained by education and experiences
  • Project Lead Engineer who often directs the work of other engineers and technicians
  • Provide technical leadership necessary to extend the department’s design capabilities into new areas
  • Contribute extensively to product design reviews
  • Promote product quality, production efficiency and cost reduction by supporting the efforts of other departments
  • Participate in field failure analysis and continuous product improvement efforts
  • Plan and accomplish goals using extensive experience and judgment
  • Manage project timelines and budgets
  • Continuously improve personal knowledge base and skill set relevant to their field of specialization
  • Represent ADL Technology and LSI Industries in the most positive manner with prospective, current and former employees, clients, suppliers, and the community we serve
  • Interact professionally and effectively with a diverse group of colleagues, employees and customers
  • Learn and practice standard operating procedures
  • Maintain prompt and regular attendance based on the work hours established by management
  • Handle confidential information with tact and discretion
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a four-year college or university with six or more years of related experience and training; and
  • Extensive experience in the design and testing of components, equipment, and systems
